The area is mainly underlain by andesitic and basaltic flows, tuffs, and breccias of the Jurassic Hazelton Group. One showing consists of a two metre wide shear zone containing highly altered and silicified country rock with small amounts of galena and chalco- pyrite. Approximately 120 metres vertically higher, another showing consists of two quartz veins in andesite approximately 46 metres apart that are sparsely mineralized with chalcopyrite, galena, and sphalerite. These veins also appear to be in shear zones. One vein varies in width from 0.3 to 0.6 metres while the other vein is from 30 to 35 centimetres in width. Gold and silver values are apparently low.
